Bofinger is a southern style barbecue smokehouse franchise in Montreal. Its first doors opened in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace (NDG) area in 2007. During the summer months you can find picnic tables out front where barbecue lovers enjoy their favourite smokehouse dishes from chicken to pork or beef ribs.
If you’re downtown, there is a Bofinger on University between Cathcart and Ste-Catherine Street. They offer a great deal when the Montreal Canadiens are playing, check out their beer and 1lb of wings for 20$. Enjoy the game on their HD TVs mounted on the wall. Much can say about the decor. It’s spacious, well located and the team are always pleasant. As for the food itself, for those who set aside their plates at the mere view of pink chicken meat, then you may want to consider other options. Have some beef ribs with that? Well add another 3.99 per rib. As for sides, there is a large assortment. However, the fries did appear to be reheated and hard. In all fairness, this was at supper and it was takeout. However, for a 40$ meal for two, there are a lot more options unless you’re insistent on some southern smokehouse food.
Again, Bofinger is a franchise and the same cannot be said of all their locations. NDG still serves as the original location with lineups and there are other locations in the city. Checkout the addresses above for a list of all their locations.
