Restaurant Amir, simply referred to as Amir’s, is a Lebanese fast-food restaurant chain. There are several locations, with this location being a top pre & post clubbing hotspot for those partying on Crescent street, one of the major restaurant and club zones in Montreal.
The most common order, is the shish taouk sandwich. Its ingredients include thinly sliced seasoned chicken, served in a pita with your choice of hummus or garlic spread, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, a few beets after which it is then wrapped tight and popped in the microwave. A beef shawarma sandwich is also on the menu in addition to “plates” which consist of chicken or beef slices combined with your choice of side orders such as tabouleh, rice, salad etc…. You’ll find the meat tender, well seasoned and not salty. For most, a sandwich is certainly enough to fill ones craving after clubbing. For those with a larger appetite, the plates are a great option as well.
During the summer months you’ll see the awning come down and chairs and tables setup along the front for patrons to enjoy the outdoors and people watch. In the cool winter months it’s a warm haven to grab a fast bite to eat before heading to the car in arctic like weather. The team is always pleasant and quick to fill your order. Going to this establishment after clubbing is an experience you definitely should experience once on your stay.
Tips:
- Some menu items may differ slightly from restaurant to restaurant. For example, a few restaurants serve steak.
- Some restaurants serve Halal meat. Look for the sticker on the door as you enter or don’t hesitate to ask the staff.
- If you go after clubbing, quickly scan the menu as you head to the back of the line. As you get there it won’t be long before someone behind the counter asks you for your order. Be quick and prompt as it can get quite crowded and the line moves quickly down to the cash.
